JOURNAL OF ASTRONOMY AND SPACE SCIENCES
The Journal of Astronomy and Space Sciences (JASS; J. Astron. Space Sci.) is the official publication of the Korean SpaceScience Society (KSSS), the most prestigious academic society in space science and space application fields in Korea. JASS isan international journal devoted to the publication of fundamental and applied investigations of all aspects of space-relatedscience and technology. It was launched in 1984 and is published quarterly. Each article published is assigned a unique DOIthat serves to identify the article in the digital environment. JASS is an open access journal; consequently, full texts of articlesare free for all users to read and use. The papers published in JASS are accessible at the journal homepage (http://janss.kr)as well as at the SAO/NASA ADS website. JASS has been indexed by SCOPUS since 2012 and by KCI since 2007. This journalis supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for the publication of scientific research from the Korean Federation of Science andTechnology Societies (KOFST) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).
Aims and Scope
JASS aims for the promotion of global awareness and understanding of space science and related applications. Unlike otherjournals that focus either on space science or on space technologies, it intends to bridge the two communities of spacescience and technologies, by providing opportunities to exchange ideas and viewpoints in a single journal. Topics suitablefor publication in JASS include researches in the following fields: space astronomy, solar physics, magnetospheric andionospheric physics, cosmic ray, space weather, and planetary sciences; space instrumentation, satellite dynamics, geodesy, spacecraft control, and spacecraft navigation. However, the topics covered by JASS are not restricted to those mentionedabove as the journal also encourages submission of research results in all other branches related to space science andtechnologies. Even though JASS was established on the heritage and achievements of the Korean space science community,it is now open to the worldwide community, while maintaining a high standard as a leading international journal. Hence,it solicits papers from the international community with a vision of global collaboration in the fields of space science andtechnologies.
